An understanding of the relationship between emotional regulation, or managing responses to situations and emotions that can produce negative responses, and positive child development. Successful implementation of this workshop will help parenting educators to reflect on how they can support youth’s emotional regulation to strengthen the program overall.
Participants will examine and reflect on their own emotional regulation strategies with the goal of better assisting the families they serve. We will focus on concrete strategies we can utilize personally and professionally.
